I am and will forever be an old soul, a twenty something going on 60 something, and thats just the way I like it. I love Christmas, can throw down on some pasta, and live for the bath and body works candle sale. What can I say, I'm a woman with specific tastes.

I'm Quinn!

Blue Toned Wedding at The Cardinal’s Nest | Sevierville, TN

Wedding

August 23, 2019

back to blog

I cry at a lot of weddings.
Surprise.
But friends, at Sarah and Nathan’s I absolutely SOBBED mid ceremony because Nathan spoke the sweetest words I’ve ever heard, like something straight out of a movie, but not like cheesy Nicholas Sparks movie (no shade, Nick, I love A Walk To Remember and The Notebook as much as the next person) like an insanely beautiful French movie, because lets be honest, the French have better lives than us.
A little backstory, Nathan and Sarah spent most of their engagement apart. Nathan accepted a really cool job out in CA and Sarah was finishing up school in TN, so all they had were little visits on holidays to last them until that season of their life was over. In his vows, Nathan said a lot of incredibly sweet stuff, but the line that got me is as follows:
”Sarah, for a while now I’ve been homesick, but after today, with you by my side, I’ll never be homesick again.”

YEAH. I KNOW.

Ironically, Nathan told Sarah that he was making his vows really funny, so she made sure to match his tone, but then he surprised her with these super beautiful vows that had literally every single person crying.

Some other stuff about Sarah and Nathan- they LOVE ice cream. So much so that we did their engagement session last December at Cruze Farm. They decided to have an ice cream bar (side note- why don’t actual bars serve ice cream? Hello million dollar idea- a margarita alongside a bowl of rocky road.) and their guests literally and figuratively ate it up. They also are two of the most laid back people ever and their day just flowed perfectly because of it. We love us some bride and groom-chillas.

The Cardinal’s Nest

The Cardinal’s Nest is an outdoor venue in Sevierville, TN. It has a large pavilion, a large permanent tent, and two cabins for getting ready, as well as restrooms, other ceremony locations, and tables, chairs, and decor.

We love The Cardinal’s Nest for a number of reasons, but one of the big ones is how much thought went into its design. Its gated with separate parking, that way you don’t see any Honda Civics in the background of your photos, as well as hardscaped throughout, making it much more accessible. Monica and Stan, the owners, work super hard to ensure everyone is having a fantastic time, guests are happy, and the couple remains priority.

Venue: The Cardinal’s Nest | Planning: Custom Love | Florals: Echelon | Catering: Rosa’s | Dress: The Gilded Gown | Rentals: Sister’s Vintage Rentals | Stationery: Minted | Officiant: Ken Link with Sensational Ceremonies | HMUA: Sarah Waldrop | DJ: Stephen Goff Entertainment | Ice Cream: Cruze Farm
