Maypop Fields | Classic Spring Barn Wedding Inspiration

I’ll be honest, I’d shoot a styled shoot every week if I could. Especially when they’re THIS pretty.

Last month, Emily with EG Weddings and Events reached out to us and asked to meet up and get to know each other. We’re always excited to network so of course I said heck yes. When we met, she started describing this styled shoot she’d been designing and asked if we wanted to be a part of it and of course we said yes! Emily lined up a team of all-star vendors and put together this gorgeous spring inspired shoot at one of East Tennessee’s newest venues, Maypop Fields.

Maypop Fields is a barn, but not like any barn you’ve seen before. Its classic but modern, posh but laid back. The sweet ladies who run the barn have an excellent eye for detail, with tons of thought put into every nook and cranny of space. Here are some of our favorite things about this new barn venue.

1. Its white on the inside and outside, so no funky color casts.

2. Theres a suite for both the bride AND the groom…we love when a venue thinks about the groom too.

3. Theres multiple ceremony sites.

4. The inside is so lovely that if it rained and you could only shoot inside, you’d be totally fine.

5. They have packages that include tables, chairs, and painted white pews. The tables are also a GORGEOUS light wood barn table design. We love them.

EG Weddings and Events: Emily has been in the event planning industry for years, but recently relocated to Knoxville and has begun taking lots of East TN weddings and putting her own twist on them! Emily literally thinks of everything (she had little cookie bags for everyone who participated in the shoot, um hellllooo!?!? She’s perfect.) and is so incredibly easy and fun to work with. We can’t wait to work a wedding together soon!

Echelon Florist: This gang always knocks it out of the park. I love how full their arrangements always are!

Lillian Ruth: The gals at LR helped pick the most perfect gown for this shoot. Classic but still fun. Thats part of what I love about Lillian Ruth’s selection.

Tristar Scribe: Man, Brit always kills it. She’s so insanely talented. All of the envelopes and invites are allll her. And can we talk about the gold and emerald green? Hello swoon.

Katie Carnegie: Katie was the HMUA for this shoot and wow. This was our first time working together and we LOVE her work! So fun and fresh, but still timeless. We also loved that Katie stuck around and helped adjust hair and makeup while we set up shots!

Regal Tuxedo: I’m a sucker for a well fitting suit, and so often suit rentals won’t be, but Regal goes the extra mile and makes sure their fellas look great.

Rachel Writes Fancy: Rachel made the most lovely sign! I love her work and seriously need to hire her to fill up my ginormous blackboard in my living room. I write like a toddler so I’m a big fan of anyone who doesn’t.

Lastly, our lovely models, real life couple Gabe and Maleia! They’re both so beautiful and I can’t wait to see their real wedding photos!
